Models + Runway = lots of fashion!!!!!

Where there are models, there is always great style!!    (And me snapping pictures of it hehe :p)
Sometimes my fave part of runway shows is just to see what everyone is wearing.

There was PlEnTy of fashion at last nights En Vogue modelling grad!
Here are a few of the hottest trends I spotted.....

Leopard + leather + fur + bling = one very sexy Nat!   I think il take a cue from her style book and invest in some fur - snuggly and glam, love it!

Sequins + peplums. And I love wrap scarves for winter - i just purchased a few last week - in cream, black and hot pink!!

Chain bags are definitely hot this season. I picked mine up from Portmans this week!

And.......Nat had one too! We own the exact same bag hehe how funny :p Love Forever New!

Monochrome never looked sooo cute! Im definitely taking notes - zebra, stripes, spots, and boots are the way to go!

Love metallics! These girls have the right idea with their shimmery pants :)

And I went for a peplum + leather + blingy necklace.

But the best fashion tip of all is - a smile is timeless. Add one with every outfit and you will always be gorgeous!

Another selfie, and some more sneak peaks backstage! :)

After a few cheeky selfies with the gorgeous Nat (what a stunner) in the break, I headed backstage again to see what was happening!
It is so much fun to be a fly on the wall in the world of modelling - with their gorgeous clothing and sexy struts.
And the best thing about models is, no matter how busy they are, there is always time to blow you a kiss! Love you girls xxx

It's here!! Judging for En Vogue Academy! xx

Its finally here! En Vogue Modelling Academy's grad!!
As soon as I woke up this morning I got straight to work preparing.
There were long baths to soak in, sex and the city to watch and a big nap to take!
Eventually I got glammed up and headed backstage for some behind the scenes sneak peaks!!
And here is what I found..........

What a hottie!

A week in the life of a "Spendthrift"!

After sauntering on home with a whole new winter wardrobe, my boyfriend cheekily called me a "Spendthrift"! Well I said, if the shoe fits!
So I thought I should fess up on the week that was.
I have been on holidays, which as any fashionista knows is DaNgErOuS!!
But before I give you a sneaky look at some of my buys, I better start at the beginning...

The week began "researching" an outfit to judge En Vogue Modelling Academy's graduation in!
(As I am live blogging from the grad tomorrow, I wanted to look super stylish.)
So, fuelled by tea and cute cups, I began my hunt for the "perfect outfit"!

And...had some more tea!

All the while I snuck off for a few photoshoots!
I finally christened  the leather skirt and whipped out the leopard scarf!

Then channeled my inner Parisienne in stripes!

I decided it was time for some girly indulgences, so off for a massage and hair app I went! And a few cheeky curls later, there I was, snapping a selfie in the car :p

I road tripped for a shopping day with all my essentials in tow - water, heels, seamless underwear, and a good bra. Then after 8 hours I came home only to have decided that I already own my modelling judging outfit.....But I still managed to do some serious shopping.
This is ONLY a couple of my purchases!

Today I am suuuuper sleepy and in need of some serious R&R. So I have snuggled up in a sunny spot with my fave PJs and childhood mug. Time to recharge before tomorrow's judging!

Happy Friday and bring on the weekend!

Ps. Piccies coming soon of all my new buys! Some very sexy things :)

I Adore Leather - Parisienne Charm

I am in LOOOVE with this new leather skirt! As soon as it arrived in pretty packaging on my doorstep I knew it would be a very versatile garment! My imagination went wild envisaging the many outfits I could style it in to.

Last weekend I wore it to brunch with earthy hued colours and a leopard scarf.
Yesterday (I had a rejuvenating escape to Sisters Beach and) went for "Parisienne Charm" with burgundy stripes, a Snow White scarf and natural 'pared back' make-up and hair. Just like the French!

Leather garments are excellent investment pieces as they can be styled into anything you desire.
You name it - tough, cute, girly, feminine, cocktail wear, day wear - the little leather garment can do it all! My latest idea is to style it up with a silky shirt, messy bun, heels and cocktail jewels for a night out with the girls. So some serious shopping ahead!

The floaty style of this A-line skirt was perfect for a day trip to Sisters Beach. I was free to frolic in the lush green forest and on the pristine beaches.  So frolic (as you can see) I did! :p

Speaking of which, we all have those places that we escape too when life gets exhausting.
Working as a Journalist is quite tiring with long hours, day work, night work, weekend work, eek! It is also very fun (meeting celebrities, having VIP access to events, and no day is ever the same). But nonetheless exhausting as we rush to get out the news for tomorrows paper.

So as soon as my holidays began I hit the road for a rejuvenating escape. And fashion photoshoot hehe :p

I hope this blog (and the last) showcase how versatile leather is - and how easy it is to work into your wardrobe. Making a statement doesn't have to cost a lot of money either, by adding classic patterns like stripes or a leopard scarf it can add some extra sass to your look! :)

Below is another look I tried out for fun, but I think it would benefit from full length stockings, closed toe pumps and an up-do to offset the preppy collar. What do you think?

Have a fabulous afternoon, Happy Tuesday!

I. Adore. Leather.

Saturday morning means one thing for me.  Sartorial excitement.  The pretty coastal area I live in comes to life with arts, culture, markets, and cafe dates - all screaming out for a shiny new outfit!

Todays brunch session in the quaint seaside town of Penguin was ideal to debut my black leather skirt. With its high-waist and floaty A-line skirt - I was in love!

I have been looking to add some more leather pieces to my wardrobe - as I love that sexy, edgy feel that leather gives to outfits. But I still want to look elegant and polished at the same time.
I think it really comes down to the style of the leather garment you choose, and what other garments you pair it with.
This skirt is perfect for me, as it has that juxtaposition between "tough" (with the leather material) and "feminine" ( with the floaty A-line style).
